Sr. Manager, Demand Generation

Hi there!

We’re looking for an exceptional Sr. Manager, Demand Generation with expertise in leading high-performing teams, growing role-based verticals and sales pipeline for high-value leads. Zapier is investing heavily in demand generation motions and this role has the resourcing to put together large-scale campaigns.

This role will have an enormous impact on our strategy and business growth at Zapier. As a senior manager, you will lead your team to develop and refine our top-of-funnel journey and vision, vertical lead flows, and scaling our sales pipeline for bigger opportunities. You’ll work closely with Partnerships, Advertising, Product, Content, Marketing Ops, and our Upmarket initiative team.

You’ll report to the Head of Marketing Programs and work together to open new lead generation channels, build roadmaps, launch integrated campaigns, prioritize efforts, and create/communicate this vision throughout the org. Your goal will be to drive the long-term, scalable success of Zapier by making demand generation a vital piece of our marketing mix. This role has runway to grow quickly as it proves successful.

About You

  • You have 8+ yrs of driving demand generation and managing a team.

  • You have deep experience working with SMBs and understand their unique challenges and buying processes.

  • You have experience creating and driving vertical leads ranging from self-serve to sales driven.

  • You can create a strategic vision and communicate it in a way that motivates stakeholders and builds buy-in.

  • You’re fluent in funnel management and can move SMB leads down a self-serve funnel while identifying higher-value leads and routing/nurturing them to our sales team.

  • You know how to optimize lead quality based on feedback loops with sales and ops.

  • You’re innovative and expansive by nature and have opened several different new lead gen channels that have proven successful.

  • You’re data-driven and know how to drive and measure impact with a team.

  • You’re a problem solver at heart and know how to move things forward with limited resourcing or roadblocks.

  • You’re committed to being an awesome teammate. You work with appropriate urgency but are able to motivate cross-functional teams with your passion and vision.


Things You’ll Do

  • Manage a team of demand gen specialists with a focus on verticalization by role, moving leads upstream, and co-marketing with partners.

  • Own lead and signup goals that lead to revenue and activation.

  • Help create and refine our strategic vision and roadmap, working with key stakeholders to create some of our first instances in demand gen.

  • Work with your team to open new lead gen channels, including negotiating rates, project managing content, design, and partner needs, and building evaluation frameworks

  • Partner with Marketing Ops on lead scoring and nurtures Build dashboards that clearly communicate performance and communicate these in business reviews and manager 1:1s 

  • Build a strong culture of engagement, innovation, and happiness within your team

  • Communicate learnings and find ways to scale wins.
